This holiday salad is bright and festive, besides being a tasty delight!
Ingredients
- Romaine lettuce or mixed greens
- purple cabbage, shredded
- avocado, chopped
- pecans, chopped
- pomegranate seeds
- Quarter Moon Farm Black Garlic cloves (4 or 5 per portion)
- Quarter Moon Farm Rosehip Vinaigrette
Directions
- Wash and rip the lettuce or mixed greens.
- Shred the cabbage.
- Chop the avocado and pecans.
- Extract the pomegranate seeds by cutting the fruit into quarters; plunge each quarter into a bowl of cold water. Gently pull the seeds away from the skin; the seeds will sink to the bottom. Drain.
- Peel the black garlic cloves.
Prepare individual portions, or put the prepared ingredients into a salad bowl. Drizzle Rosehip Vinaigrette on top and toss. This makes such a pretty salad – and it tastes terrific, too!
