Sweet potatoes are packed with vitamins and bursting with flavor, which pairs well with Quarter Moon Farm’s black garlic cloves or black garlic & sea salt. There are many ways to enjoy this power-packed root vegetable. Here are some ‘sweet’ ideas:
- Bake a sweet potato in its skin as you normally would. When done, slit the potato open lengthwise and stuff with 5 or 6 black garlic cloves for added flavor!
- Bake the potato. Smash 5 or 6 black garlic cloves per sweet potato. When potato has finished baking, scoop it out, being careful to keep its skin intact. Whip potato with the smashed black garlic cloves. Gently scoop black garlic potatoes back into the saved skin, and then bake for an additional 10 minutes. Top with a dollop of sour cream when out of the oven and serve.
- Bake or boil sweet potatoes, then peel or slip off their skins under cold running water. Smash black garlic cloves and whip together with potatoes and butter.
- Create sweet potato fries by cutting sweet potatoes into long, thin strips or wedges, or use a spiralizer to create curly fries. Toss the potatoes gently just enough olive oil to coat them lightly, and place on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with Black Garlic & Sea Salt. Bake, turning midway through.
